GuideLive.com: Keep an eye out for Erykah Badu, Meshach Taylor, Tonea Stewart and P.J. Gibson this week. They're scheduled to be in Dallas, TX as guest judges and lecturers for the National Association of Dramatic and Speech Arts Conference @ Dallas Convention Center Theatre Complex, an African-American educational theater conference for students that runs Wednesday (March 14, 2007) through Saturday (March 17, 2007). The public can check out free student performances all week. Check out the whole Conference's schedule here.

Soul Music Conference

The Neo Soul Café, an established multi-media music and entertainment enterprise has announced the hosting of its first annual Soul Music Conference April 27-28 in Dallas, Texas. The conference will serve to entertain soul music supporters and educate independent artists on exposure, distribution and promotion of their music through various platforms and panels. The Dallas Soul Music Conference will also give back to the community with a donation to a Dallas non-profit organization, B.L.I.N.D founded by Grammy award winning recording artist Erykah Badu. (...) The weekend will encompass a host of entertaining and educational segments opening with a Welcome to Dallas Icebreaker and local artist showcase. Following will be a three-tier panel discussion with guest moderators and DJ panelists, a tribute to a soul music icon, concluding the evening with a Soul Music conference hosted by Erykah Badu. Ok, so apparently Erykah will be releasing, not 1, but 3, common themes albums! Albums will be released this summer and the first single should be out soon. Check out more Badu photos at Jay Electronica's MySpace. He's added some new tracks also. Be sure to listen!
