Dallas’ #1 B-Girl
Erykah Badu takes the stage this Saturday,
November 28, 2009 at the Dr. Pepper Arena
with her friends from the hit
children’s television show, Yo Gabba
Gabba! Badu will make a special
appearance with DJ Lance Rock and the
five friendly characters, Brobee, Foofa,
Muno, Plex and Toodee, as part of the
live touring show: Yo Gabba Gabba! Live:
There's a Party in My City. Erykah Badu,
hip-hop goddess and icon of the neo-soul
movement, knows the importance of
nurturing the future of hip-hop and she
applauds Yo Gabba Gabba for its approach.
“I love this show,” said Badu,
“especially because it uses 808
drums sounds to teach kids the alphabet
and numbers. Yo Gabba Gabba give

80’s a creative way to bond with
their children,” said Badu.
“I’m sure the stage show will
be amazing and I’m excited to be
apart of it,” she added. Badu’s
entourage for this show will be bigger
than ever as she has invited her daughter

| On November 14,
2009 Erykah took part in the Hip Hop
Broadway - The Musical Saturday
at the Winspear Opera House in Dallas, TX.
Hip Hop Broadway is part of the AT&T
Performing Arts Center inaugural season.
The production is a bit of spoken
word, fast paced, up tempo, and a
dazzling musical review highlighting some
of Broadway's most memorable show tunes.
Starring Tony Award winners Jennifer
Holiday and Melba Moore, Metropolitan
Opera Star Harolyn Blackwell, multi-award
and Grammy winner Erykah Badu,
Ms. Sofia from Broadway's The Color
Purple Felicia P. Fields, and Trent
Armand Kendall also from Broadway's The
Color Purple along with Dallas' finest
young professional emerging artists.
An original 90-minute performance
was written, directed and produced by Mr.

We have
news from the Badu camp:
+ Erykah finished up several new
songs which are rumored to
feature very special guests in
anticipation for her new album, New
Amerykah, Part II, Return of the
Ankh. The Album Street
Date is February 23rd!
+ She is working with a team of
engineers from past projects,
which include: Tom Soars mixing
on the album, Chris Bell
and Mike - Chav recording a lot
of the album and assisting with
the mix, and a new team member - Andrew Dawson.

The audience was
brought to its feet as Erykah
Badu, Melle Mel, Ledisi,
Fantasia, and Angie Stone stormed the
stage to pay homage to legendary artist
Chaka Khan with such hits as "Through
the Fire" and "Tell Me
Something Good." With fun-filled
skits, dance sequences and hilarious
throwbacks to the infamous Soul Train
scramble board and Soul Train line, the
